The road swung under a cliff and the light wasn't seen again.]

Just then something happened to the steering of the car. It went sharply to the right hand side of the road, barely missing two poles. Whilst slowing down the car, and getting back to normal, he noticed a bright, orange light on his right hand side, following the car. Again he experienced trouble with the steering. The light then left him, and the vehicle returned to normal.]

Short UFO fact: [Sometime in August, 1952 during the major UFO sighting wave of that year, Mrs. Suzanne E. Knight, a young housewife and mother, saw a UFO at close range with what appeared to be an occupant aboard. She saw a bright object descending rapidly at a 45 degree angle and thought it was a plane about to crash; instead, the object came to a hovering position at a right angle to her, approximately half a city block away and about 300 feet above the ground. UFO was an undercarriage similar to the gondola of a dirigible; this also contained a row of smaller, square windows and was brilliantly aglow inside with yellow light. Mrs. Knight thought she observed what appeared to be rows of seats, similar to theatre seats, in this lower portion. Through the upper windows she was able to see what appeared to be a row of cabinets with slanted tops. ]

Short UFO fact: [August 1, 1952 -The United States Coast Guard released a photograph of an unidentified aerial phenomena (i.e. a UFO). The photograph was taken by a 21-year-old Coast Guard photographer on 16 July, at the Salem Coast Guard Air Station. Coast Guard Officer Shell R. Alpert snapped the photograph of what appears to be four UFOs. The UFOs were also witnessed by Coastguardsman Thomas Flaherty. ]
