When watching the radar scope Coleman observed two UFOs which he tracked at a speed in excess of 5,000 miles per hour, quite impossible for planes of the day. Eventually four UFOs were seen on the radar screen. From the plane, they were also able to make visual contact with the object, watching it as a blue-white streak moving fast near the bomber.
