The radar had been scanning an area to the west, working a jet fighter in some practice patrols, but when they got the report they moved the sector scan to the northeast quadrant There was a target exactly where the lady repored the light to be. The warrant officer who was the duty controller for the night, told me that he'd studied the target for several minutes. He knew how weather could affect radar but this target was well defined, solid, and bnght." It seemed to be moving, but very slowly. He called for an altitude reading, and the man on the height-finding radar checked his scope. He also had the target - it was at 16.000 feet. ]

Short UFO fact: [On November 23, 1953, an F-89C Scorpion jet was scrambled from Kinross Field. The Scorpion was flown by 1st Lieutenant Felix Moncla, Jr., with 2nd Lieutenant R. Wilson in the rear seat as radar operator. The unknown object began to change course as the Scorpion began to close on it, at speeds exceeding 500 mph. Wilson was having problems with tracking the unknown, so ground control continued to direct Moncla to the UFO. Over half an hour later, Moncla moved even closer to the object, which was now streaking over Lake Superior. ]

Short UFO fact: [CARSWELL AFB. Air Force base in Texas where a famous and well documented sighting took place at 2300 hours on 4th February 1954 in full view of the control tower personnel. The object passed directly over the Carswell tower at 3-4,000 feet, and was described as having a long fuselage, elliptical wings and a stabilizer, but with no visible means of propulsion. No sound could be detected. The aircraft had a very bright light in the nose and tail, and two yellowish lights on the bottom. Subsequent investigations revealed that no local aircraft were responsible, and that they was no unusual activity that could contribute to the sighting. The witnesses were described as 'completely reliable' ]

After driving a little more along the road, they came across a large diamond shaped UFO hovering over the road belching fire out of the bottom. Since the flames were blocking the road, they had to stop the car about 65 yards away from the craft and the three of them got out. Vickie and Colby stayed by the car, whereas Betty went on to get a closer look. She spent a long time gazing at it and her skin began to burn because of the heat from the flames. She returned to the car when the object began to rise and a large number of unmarked black helicopters chased after the UFO.]

Lolladoff claimed to have bought the disk in Mussorie in Northern India and that it was supposed to be from a mysterious people called the "Dzopa" (or "Dropa") who had used it for religious rituals. Robin-Evans would follow the trail of the Dropa to its origins, and was able to take a rare photograph of the Dropa leaders in 1947. His visit with the Dalai Lama was legendary, and provided a wealth of information on the reclusive, unique tribe of people. ]
